Mastering the ITM: The Dos and Don’ts of Smooth Deposits
We get it. Using new technology can sometimes feel like learning to ride a bike all over again. At INB, our Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) are designed to make banking faster and easier. But like any machine, they work best when treated right. Here are a few simple ITM dos and don’ts to keep your experience smooth, stress-free, and free of deposit delays.
DO: Feed It Neatly
Think of your cash like a resume. It should be crisp, clean, and unfolded. The ITM works best with tidy bills. Worn out, torn, or crumpled cash can get stuck or misread, which might delay your deposit. Bills that are folded or bent are also likely to cause issues, so a quick smooth-out before inserting them can go a long way.
DON’T: Insert Strapped Cash
We know it looks official, but strapped cash is a no-go. Bundled bills confuse the machine and are usually rejected. Remove the bands and let your bills breathe before inserting them.
DO: Watch the Screen
Your ITM screen is your step-by-step guide. It tells you exactly what to do and walks you through the process. Keeping an eye on the instructions will help you complete your transaction quickly and correctly.
DON’T: Rush the Process
We’re all busy, but taking a few extra seconds can save you a lot of frustration. Make sure your bills are flat, your checks are in good condition, and your account details are accurate before hitting submit.
DO: Ask for Help
Our ITMs offer live video assistance during business hours. If something doesn’t seem right or you have a question, just tap the screen. Our friendly team members are ready to help.
At INB, we’re always working to make your experience better. ITMs are just one way we make banking easy, but it takes a little teamwork. Treat your deposit with care, follow the prompts, and don’t hesitate to ask for help. Together, we’ll keep your transactions smooth and simple.
