Pleasant Plains High School senior, McKenzie Ragle, is one determined student and dreams of working for NASA. McKenzie was most recently selected as the March Senior-of-the-Month by faculty and staff based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
McKenzie is a member of National Honor Society, science club, student council, Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) and the Society of Women Engineers. She is a cardinal ambassador, works at Passage (Providing After School Supervision And Great Education) and plays softball. McKenzie is a two-time varsity softball team captain, earned the physical fitness award, received the hardest working player award and made second team all-conference (2016 & 2017).
She plans to double major in electrical engineering and computer science at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After college, she hopes to one day work for NASA.
The Senior-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by Illinois National Bank. Monthly winners receive a $50 award. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year Award also sponsored by INB.
