Jordan Sanchez, senior at Mt. Pulaski High School, has decided to join the United States armed forces after graduation. He plans to join either the United States Air Force or the United States Marine Corps. Jordan has received a Congressional nomination to the United States Air Force Academy, along with being named an Illinois State Scholar and Mt. Pulaski High School Senior-of-the-Month.

While at MPHS, Jordan has been a member of the drama club, band, scholastic bowl and Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (WYSE) for two years. He also served on student council as senior class secretary and junior class vice president.

The February Senior-of-the-Month is the son of Renae and Robert Sanchez of Elkhart. Jordan was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The Senior-of-the-Month Program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware and Larry Conaway Jr. Monthly winners receive a $100 award paid to the college the winner plans to attend. Monthly winners are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year Award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
