Senior Reagan Petitt, is a very active student at Riverton High School. That’s one of the reasons why she is the January Student-of-the-Month for the school. Reagan is a member of the National Honor Society, Teens Against Drugs and Alcohol (TADAA) and regularly on the honor roll. She also helped develop the Riverton Field of Dreams project.
Reagan is committed to advanced tumbling. She is a two-time Junior Olympic gold medalist, 2014 and 2015 Illinois State Champion and 2015 Junior Olympic highest overall score award winner. Because she loves to give back, she helps as a volunteer junior cheerleading coach for the Riverton JFL.
Reagan plans to study at Lincoln Land Community College for one year and then transfer to Lakeland or Illinois Central College to finish clinicals to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She wishes to continue on and receive a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Reagan was chosen as the January Student-of-the-Month by faculty and staff based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. She will receive $50 from INB and will eligible for 2017-2018 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
