Austin Crawford, Riverton High School, Student of the monthAustin Crawford performed his way to the top and now shines as the October Student-of-the-Month for Riverton High School. Music and the fine arts are very important to Austin. He is a member of the Madrigals, Jazz and Chamber choirs. Austin loves to entertain his friends and family while acting in the Active Creative Teen Theatre, Thespians and starring in various roles for school plays and musicals. When not on stage, he is vice president of student council, member of Teen Against Drugs And Alcohol (T.A.D.A.A), Hawk Team, Hawk Pride and Teen Court.

Because of his outstanding leadership and positive attitude, he was unanimously voted Choir Member of Year during his Freshman and Sophomore years, received the Sophia Award for Leadership and had the opportunity to attend the LEAD Conference in Chicago.

Austin plans to attend Illinois College next year and major in biology.

Austin was chosen as October Student-of-the-Month by faculty and staff of RHS based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. He will receive $50 from INB and will eligible for 2017-2018 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
