Makenzie Lock can now add Mt. Pulaski senior of the month to her list of high school accomplishments that include yearly honor roll, Varsity Volleyball Team Player Award, Coaches Appreciation Award, and Tomahawk Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention Award. Makenzie serves on student council, spirit squad, prom committee, Spanish club and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She has also played volleyball all four years at Mt. Pulaski High.

Makenzie plans to attend Lincoln Land Community College in the fall.

The May Senior of the Month is the daughter of Shawn and Melissa Lock of Beason. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The Senior of the Month Program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior of the Year Award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
