It may be November, but we want to give September Riverton High School’s Student of the Month Kaleb Jacobs, a shout out. Kaleb has been very active throughout high school, taking part in the Strategic Gaming Society, tabletop role-playing games, helping the disabled, computer programming and writing. He’s earned Magnum Cum Laude (3rd place) on National Latin Exams and State Sectionals for his History Fair work.
Kaleb plans to go to Lincoln Land Community College when he graduates, then transfer to the University of Illinois to study robotics.
The Riverton High School Student of the Month Award is sponsored by Illinois National Bank (INB). Kaleb was chosen for the award by the staff and faculty of RHS based on attendance, academics, effort, conduct, cooperation, dependability, leadership, school involvement, and service to others. He will receive $50 from INB and will be eligible for 2015-2016 Student of the Year honors at graduation.
