As Katie Hahn looks back on the last year working at INB, she has one thought: “Time flies when you’re having fun!”

Not only is Katie enjoying her new career at INB, but she has also learned how she can have an impact by helping her clients find solutions. She has worked with the cannabis banking team to create solutions to meet the needs of many new customers and, in doing so, has seen success by doubling that portfolio this past year.

Thanks to Katie’s diligence and hard work, she’s been promoted from Assistant Vice President to Vice President.

“This past year, I have learned from some of the best business bankers around – most of whom have decades of experience serving our community,” she says. “INB cares about their people and helping them advance in their professional career. If you express interest in wanting to take on more, or advance in your role, INB will help you get there.”

Jumping In and Not Looking Back

Katie joined INB in December 2021 as AVP over Business Solutions. In addition to growing the Cannabis markets, she's also taken on full responsibility for INB’s largest state and municipal customers. 

When it comes to her role, Katie says she definitely enjoys customer interactions the most. With a background in sales, meeting customers face-to-face is what drives her.

“It is a learning experience for me as a business professional; my customers educate me when they tell me about their banking needs and about their organizations,” she says.

“I also enjoy the team I work with. Knowing that I have the best team of professionals working alongside of me is such a great feeling,” Katie adds. “Whether it’s collaborating with commercial lenders on the best solution for a joint customer or working through details on business solutions with our Treasury Support staff, I have confidence that the INB team is there to help.  I have always been a believer that being able to sell my team is the key to every solution sold.”

It’s All About the People

Relationships and in-person activities are important to Katie in her personal life as well. She always loves getting a visit with her oldest daughter who is a sophomore in college. And most weekends, you can find her at a sporting event for her younger daughter – a high school freshman – from volleyball games to track meets. Getting together with other family and friends is always a highlight too.

Looking ahead after her first year at INB, Katie sees only potential.

“I am so excited and eager to keep expanding my role!” she says. “We have grown the cannabis-related businesses market this past year, and I see it continuing to expand as our Commercial/Compliance team continues to accept new deposit relationships through a large referral base.”
