It took a few “sharp turns” for Logan Gigl to get where he is today. But through it all, one thing’s certain: he’s not afraid of hard work.
Growing up in the small town of Clifton, Illinois, Logan spent many days working on his dad’s family farm with his grandpa.
“The farm tasks ranged from helping catch newborn pigs to going into town and grabbing bags of shredded paper from the banks, to be used as bedding for the pigs,” he recalls. “I also spent a lot of time at my maternal grandma’s house doing yard work. Between the two grandparents’ houses, I learned a lot about the value of hard work and the dollars earned from it.”
Knowing the value of work, Logan is now ready to help your hard-earned money work for you. We’re welcoming him as our new Investment Advisor Representative for INB Wealth Financial Services.
“INB Wealth – and INB as a whole – do an amazing job at maintaining the client relationship even as the operation grows,” Logan says. “Doing what is in a client’s best interest is always the top priority.”
Varied Experience Leads to Work in Financial Services
Logan’s strong work ethic was evident throughout high school and college. After being named a 2A All-State running back in high school, he was recruited to play football at Monmouth College, where he played outside linebacker/stand up Defensive End and was the punter (“a weird combination,” he jokes.)
Logan graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and took a job at a local farm and seed company as a utility man.
“I did a little bit of everything: I spent time in the corn and bean fields, did construction and electrical projects, and helped deliver seed to customers,” he says.
But after a year at the farm, Logan’s career path took a decidedly different direction. He first spent 2.5 years serving as a correctional officer for the state of Illinois; then he landed a job in finance as a new business coordinator at a small, rapidly growing company.
“I spent most of my days processing new business and working on transferring new assets to our management and most of my nights studying to become a licensed advisor,” he shares. “During my three years at the company, I was able to help grow their managed assets from $120 million to $260 million. All this experience set me up for my next chapter at INB Wealth as an Investment Advisor Representative.”
Ready to Work Hard for INB Customers
Logan moved to Springfield to join INB and looks forward to getting more involved in the community. Giving back is an important part of his life, and he’s volunteered for organizations like Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Time outside of work and community service is mostly spent with his family: his wife Kaila and two young daughters, Layla Lynn and Lilly Mae.
“We love going for family walks, going to the movies, going on breakfast dates, and just listening to the crazy things that come out of our toddler’s mouth,” he laughs.
When he can find the time, he also enjoys slow-pitch softball, working on DIY projects, and playing PlayStation5 video games.
Looking ahead, Logan is excited for the chance to put his hard work into action for INB clients.
“I am most looking forward to creating new relationships with future clients and being that financial partner that they can lean on to and through retirement,” he says.
