Karyssa Pedersen, INB’s Wabash Branch Manager, was recently honored by the Illinois Bankers Association with the “Recognition of Excellence Award.” Watching Karyssa’s journey and growth here at INB has been inspiring, and it’s wonderful to see her dedication acknowledged by such a respected organization.

Karyssa joined us after college. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, and finance from MacMurray College. She has taken every chance to build her skills and make an impact, which led to her recent promotion to branch manager. Currently enrolled in the IBA’s Future Leader's Alliance, Karyssa is already preparing to make even bigger contributions to INB and the banking industry. She plans to attend the Graduate School of Banking, which will not only provide professional growth, but reap benefits for both INB and the community we serve.

Passion for Community, Customers & Team

Karyssa’s influence reaches well beyond her role at the bank. She’s involved in several community organizations, including United Way and the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and has recently led health and wellness workshops at the Educational Center for the Visually Impaired, teaching financial wellness to students. Her commitment to community service speaks to her dedication to giving back and making a real difference in people’s lives.

A significant part of Karyssa’s success comes from her customer-focused mindset. Known for consistently going above and beyond, she has built strong, trusting relationships with clients by ensuring their needs are met with genuine care and expertise.

As branch manager, Karyssa has become a key mentor and leader, creating a supportive and growth-oriented environment for her team. Her focus on team development is not only strengthening the branch, but also helping nurture the next generation of banking professionals, which is vital to INB’s mission and future.
