I am thrilled to spotlight Chris Karrick, who has been promoted to Wealth Operations Assistant Vice President. Since joining INB in 2019, Chris has become a cornerstone of our Wealth Division, blending operational expertise with a passion for client success.  And while working hard for his clients, Chris has taken on an exciting role in his personal life: dad to a beautiful 11-month year old baby girl.

A Foundation of Dedication and Growth

Chris joined the INB team in 2019, diving into the world of brokerage operations. He quickly began making his mark with his strong work ethic and client-focused mindset.  By September of that year, he started working on his licensing requirements, becoming a licensed assistant by December 2020.  His hands-on involvement in INB’s broker dealer transition to Infinex Investments was just one of the many ways he demonstrated his operational expertise early on.

His passion for supporting clients and colleagues has been evident throughout his tenure. “My favorite part of my job is being able to help customers with their financial future and put them at ease with all of the processes when it comes to investment and retirement accounts,” Chris shared in a previous interview.  This client-first mindset continues to define Chris’s work, even has his role has evolved.

Leadership in Action

As Wealth Operations AVP, Chris has expanded his responsibilities to include overseeing both operational and administrative team members, acting as the primary liaison with Osaic’s Operations Team, and leading the training of new Wealth employees. Chris’s approach to leadership is rooted in creating a supportive and collaborative environment.

“I always try to be an open book for new employees,” he explains. “I’ve seen onboarding programs that worked and others that didn’t, and I’ve learned that the most important thing is making sure people feel comfortable asking questions. I also try to explain the 'why' behind everything to help them feel confident in their roles.”

Chris’s efforts have streamlined efficiencies, enhanced service capabilities, and helped the team adapt to rapid growth. His ability to balance his operational duties with additional projects, like assisting with tax matters, highlights his commitment to the department’s success.

Not only does Chris display exceptional leadership himself, he recognizes that his ability to lead has a lot to do with how he observes those that lead him.  “The leadership in our department has given me access to incredible opportunities for growth,” Chris shares. “I’ve been able to learn from their extensive industry knowledge and apply it to my day-to-day responsibilities.”

A Vision for the Future

As INB’s Wealth Division continues to grow, Chris is focused on maintaining the high standards that clients and colleagues have come to expect. “The biggest challenge will be keeping the same quality of work and relationships as our client base grows,” he notes. “We’ll meet this challenge by being meticulous in everything we do and remembering that you can’t do everything in single day.”

I am excited to continue witnessing Chris’s growth within the Wealth Division and am grateful to have him on our team.  Congratulations, Chris.  It is well deserved!
