If you could take an unlimited, all-expenses-paid vacation, where would you go and why?

I would take a European trip, my first two stops would be Ireland and Scotland; I have heard that they’re beautiful!

Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited/favorite vacation spot, and why?

Skagway, Alaska. It is gorgeous there, but the best part is that my son lives there.

Veronica Armbrust, Treasury Services Specialist

If you could take an unlimited, all-expenses-paid vacation, where would you go and why?

I would love to visit Ireland. The Emerald Isle has always been on my bucket list. To experience the beautiful landscapes, historic sites and spend endless time with the locals sounds amazing.

What job did you want to have when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a florist when I was young. I always enjoyed visiting the local flower shop and seeing all the pretty flowers. I still have a love for plants and flowers as an adult; the first spring visit to the greenhouse is always a long one, and I undoubtedly will bring home more plants than necessary!

Courtney Bryant, Quality Control Specialist for Deposit Operations

What’s your favorite time of year?

My favorite time of the year would have to be fall. That’s the start of football season! My husband and I are big into fantasy football and just football in general, so our Sundays are spent together watching all the games (Go Niners!) We also got to go to our first San Francisco 49ers game together recently and couldn’t have asked for a better time with friends and family!

What’s a favorite family tradition from your childhood?

The Festival of Trees was my favorite family tradition. Going with my family each year and making all the crafts and seeing all the different trees really put me in the Christmas spirit.

Cayla Keyes, VP, Retail Sales Manager

What was your very first job? Did you like it or hate it?

My very first job was as a telemarketer at a call center, selling Discover Cards. Believe it or not, I really enjoyed it! It was a fantastic training ground where I mastered the dos and don’ts of sales and customer service early on. I still have to laugh when I recall some of the people who answered the phone and urged me to “get a real job!” At age 17, speaking with people over the phone and contributing to their financial choices felt very much like a real job to me. That job wasn’t just about earning money; it was a lot of fun and remains a fond memory from my teen years.

What’s your favorite time of year?

Summer is my favorite time of the year. Not only do I prefer warmer weather, but it’s also travel baseball season for my son. He plays for Springfield’s Top Tier 12U, and there’s nothing better than watching him out there on the field, doing what he loves most. Those games are the highlight of my summer, packed with excitement and family fun.

Justin Graves, Maintenance Technician

What was your very first job? Did you like it or hate it?

My first job was installing flooring. I was 14 years old, and I enjoyed it. I have always liked learning something new and challenging.

Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited, and why?

My favorite place to vacation would have to be Destin, Florida. Clear water, plenty of golf and always a good time with Marissa while hanging out on the beach.

Lanna Bartko, Branch Operations Supervisor at INB Champaign

What’s a song that always puts you in a good mood?

“Sunshine, Rainbows and Lollipops” by Leslie Gore (1965). I can’t help but smile and dance a little.

Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited, and why?

HAWAII!!! For its obvious beauty, but you also sense its calming quiet effect everywhere. The people are caring and happy. The memories are endless.

Brenna Rockwell, VP, Commercial Loan Coordinator

What’s a song that always puts you in a good mood?

“Steal My Sunshine” by LEN

What’s a favorite family tradition from your childhood?

Going to Disneyland with my friends and family a couple times per year.

Susan Fleming, AVP, Branch Manager, Mt. Pulaski Branch

Where’s the best place you’ve ever visited, and why?

Hope Town, Bahamas. It’s warm, sunny and sandy. It’s an island with less than 200 permanent residents, and it feels like you’re traveling back in time when you go there. It’s a slower pace with little technology.

What’s your favorite way to spend a long weekend?

With my family, including my four-legged family. In the cooler months, I love to cook and bake. I like to try new recipes. In the warm months, you will find us outside hiking, biking or enjoying the great outdoors.
