When Ashley Pond applied for a position at INB, she was looking for a place that would encourage her to grow as a professional. At that time, she only had retail banking experience and wasn’t sure what area she wanted to specialize in.
“I’ve never been one to settle and have always wanted to learn as much as I can,” Ashley shares.
Ashley quickly discovered that her manager and coworkers at INB would give her the support she needed to explore new endeavors, even as she moved out of the retail space. And over the past eight years, Ashley’s expertise and leadership have made her an invaluable asset to our team.
Because of her dedication, Ashley has been promoted to Deposit Operations/ACH Officer!
“INB has proved to be a good fit for me because I value teamwork and INB does too. I haven’t met someone at INB that isn’t willing to help where needed or answer any questions I may have,” she says. “I’ve been blessed to have supportive managers that have pushed me to be my best and have challenged me to get outside of my comfort zone.”
INB Career Takes Hold
Ashley first started her career at INB in the Retail Department in 2017, where her exceptional service set her apart. She transitioned seamlessly to Deposit Operations in 2019, quickly excelling in ACH (Automated Clearing House) processes.
In October 2024, after months of dedicated study, she earned her AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) certification, a testament to her commitment to professional growth.
As our ACH expert, Ashley leads daily operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency. She proactively identifies process improvements, streamlining workflows and increasing operational effectiveness.
“I’ve always enjoyed building relationships with clients. Working in ACH Operations has allowed me to become familiar with our originators and to continue to connect with clients as needed,” Ashley says.
“I also enjoy the technical side of ACH Operations,” she adds. “I like to know the ‘why’ behind the processes and procedures, and I enjoy being able to think creatively to come up with new solutions to improve in areas. ACH is always changing, so there is always something to learn!
No Plans to Slow Down
Beyond her technical skills, Ashley is a patient and effective trainer, mentoring new staff and fostering a collaborative work environment. We’re confident that Ashley’s promotion will further strengthen our ACH capabilities, enhance team development and contribute to INB’s continued success.
Ashley says she’s looking forward to becoming more knowledgeable in the realm of faster payments. She has no plans of slowing down!
“It’s rewarding to know that my efforts are recognized, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t more stars to shoot for!” she says.
