After more than 15 years of helping customers at INB’s Fairmount branch, Megan Kepling is taking on a new role as Assistant Branch Manager. With deep roots in the community and a strong connection to her customers, Megan is excited to continue growing—both personally and professionally—at the place she’s called home for over a decade.

Megan says the relationships she’s built are what have kept her passionate about her work all these years.
“I’ve gotten to know so many of our customers on a personal level, and I love being the person they trust to come to with their questions and concerns,” she says. “It’s really rewarding to be that go-to for them.”
It’s this same dedication that caught the attention of her supervisor, Angie Zindars, AVP/Branch Manager at INB Fairmount.
“Megan has always been dependable and willing to step in and help,” Angie says. “She’s been a mentor to new staff, always going above and beyond, and the entire team respects and appreciates her. This promotion is well deserved.”
Embracing Change in a Changing Industry
Since joining INB in 2009, Megan has seen the banking world evolve in major ways.
“Oh gosh, everything has changed,” she laughs. “So much is digital now—online banking, mobile deposits, even opening accounts. When I started, everything was paper and face-to-face.”
Even how she connects with customers has shifted. “Now it’s a lot more texting and emailing. It’s definitely faster and more convenient for everyone.”
Rooted in the Community
Born and raised in Fairmount, Megan says her local ties have helped her form even stronger connections with customers.
“A lot of our customers feel more comfortable because they’ve known me for years, or they know my family. That kind of familiarity really builds trust.”
She adds that Fairmount itself is something special: “It’s a close-knit community. When something happens—good or bad—people show up for one another. It feels like one big extended family.”
Learning Through Leadership
When the branch recently went through a leadership transition, Megan stepped up without hesitation. “I quickly learned there’s a lot more to being in charge than it seems,” she says. “But our team really pulled together. Everyone had each other’s backs, and that’s what kept things running smoothly.”
Megan is focused on continuing to deliver exceptional service while supporting her team.
“To me, great customer service means making banking simple and smooth. I try to be that person our customers can count on, and I lead by example—always being helpful and consistent.”
As she settles into her new role, Megan’s goals are clear: “I want to keep up the great customer service and continue that personal touch we’re known for.”
