After more than 25 years in commercial banking — and now being promoted into her new role as Senior Vice President at INB — Miranda is still doing what she’s always done best: putting people first and making sure the numbers make sense.

“I’m happy to say nothing has really changed in how I approach my clients’ needs,” she says. “But I have learned just how important transparency is to them. When I walk them through what the bank’s looking at — whether it’s a rate, loan amount, or amortization — they know I’m not just trying to sell them something. I want them to understand what’s going on and feel in control of their decisions.

That approach, she says, comes from experience — and from spending time on the other side of the table. Miranda successfully exited her first business. That gave her a firsthand understanding of the pressure, risk, and responsibility that comes with entrepreneurship.

She brings that insight to her clients. Whether helping with capital raising, structuring financial solutions, or advising on mergers and acquisitions, Miranda’s goal is always the same: give people the tools and information they need to move forward with confidence.

Expertise and Connections Make Miranda Unstoppable

Allen Brinkman, SVP, Florida Market CEO says of Miranda, “Her expertise extends to research, financial modeling, due diligence, client relationship management, and preparing detailed presentations to support investment decisions. Miranda's analytical acumen and strategic approach have been vital to the growth and success of our Florida operations.

Given her work with business leaders, Miranda’s perspective is grounded. She says, “One of the best lessons came from my grandmother. She’d say, ‘Do you want to be the kind of person who lights up a room when you walk in, or when you walk out?’ That stuck with me.”

She’s quick to credit Allen as someone who’s helped shape her career. “He’s the first person who didn’t ask me to shrink myself. He embraced who I am — strengths, flaws, and all — and helped me round out the rough edges. That kind of support doesn’t just help you grow; it makes you want to pass that along.”

That’s exactly what she’s doing now. Whether mentoring new team members or connecting with peers, Miranda is intentional about building people up and creating a collaborative environment. “I’ve learned over the years that the best leaders remove obstacles. They don’t create roadblocks. That’s what I try to do.”

A Million Reasons Why She’s Committed

Outside of the office, she’s just as committed to helping others grow. She works with 1 Million Cups, an entrepreneur-focused event series where she offers feedback to small business owners and start-up founders.

“I still get so much out of being there,” she says. “People tell me they appreciate the advice or connections I can offer. And I think it matters to see women in leadership — someone even told me recently how cool it was to see a strong woman giving feedback.”

As INB continues to grow its Florida presence, Miranda says she’s excited to welcome new faces and keep building the kind of team that business owners trust.

“There are a lot of folks down here who are fed up with ‘corporate banking,’” she says. “We’re offering something different — real conversations, local support, and a team that has each other’s back. I’m proud to be part of that.”
