We've held some very successful shred events this fall. "Successful" in that community members have donated over $4,200 for local charities while safely destroying confidential documents they no longer need.

We have two more events planned:

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 9-11 a.m.: 3150 W. Wabash Av., Springfield. Donations will be accepted for the Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery.

Friday, Nov. 1, noon to 2 p.m.: 2402 E. Washington St., Bloomington. Donations accepted for the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees Thanksgiving Basket Project.

Limit of 5 bags per person.
