Illinois National Bank (INB)-Peoria is sponsoring a free shred event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in the bank parking lot, 7535 North Knoxville Ave. At the same time, kids can take part in free, fun activities planned in the bank lobby.
The shred event is an opportunity to shred confidential documents in a secure way. This is a free service to the entire community, though Junior Achievement members will be on hand to collect donations to support their activities. You can have up to five bags or boxes of documents shredded.
At the same time as the shred event, you and your kids are invited to the bank lobby to learn the value of saving. Kids can use the bank’s coin sorting machine to tally up what’s in their piggy banks.
Other free kids’ activities include:
- Face painting by The Zoo Lady.
- An art table where kids can show their creative side.
- An Ice Princess, ready to pose for photos . . . so bring your camera!
- Kids can sign up to win a piggy bank filled with $100.
- Refreshments.
