Community Banking in the Heart of Springfield 

When looking for a place to open a bank headquarters, INB’s founders chose to operate out of downtown Springfield. As President and CEO Sarah Phalen says, we wanted to be close to the heart of our business community and city, county and state government. 

Today INB may serve communities outside of Springfield, but our heart is downtown. Today, we work from our original bank facilities at 4^th and Capitol streets, as well as from other buildings making up the entire block of 4^th Street between Capitol and Jackson. With our iconic views of both the State Capitol and Executive Mansion, we’re proud to be able to say, “We walk where Lincoln walked.”

But more importantly, we proudly serve the downtown Springfield community right from our headquarters.  INB offers services to businesses, municipalities and individuals.
